Layered Interior Text by Janae McIntosh Strata Braided is handwoven from jute, a durable fiber extracted from the stalk of the jute plant. The collection introduces a new type of jute weave to the LAYERED range, crafted with a stronger yarn to create a thicker and more robust quality. The contrasting color pattern is woven on top of the base, creating subtle differences in level – the inspiration for the name Strata, which means layer or layer. The color scheme consists of sober earth tones that highlight the natural warmth of jute and make the rug versatile in both living rooms, kitchens and bedrooms.Basket Weave is woven from sisal, a natural fiber extracted from the leaves of the agave plant. The collection takes its name from the weaving technique, which resembles a classic basket pattern. Sisal has a drier, rougher feel than jute and a matte, structured surface that suits both Scandinavian and more bohemian interiors. Sisal is particularly resistant to wear and tear, making it ideal for entryways, under dining tables or in study rooms.

Laila Gohar Collection for Marimekko Text by Janae McIntosh Inspired by all the things we do in bed and Laila’s maxim if it’s ironed, you can wear it out, the capsule collection features a series of bedroom-themed items that Gohar curated featuring distinctly bold and contrasting Marimekko archive stripes by artist Maija Isola. The highlight of the capsule is a range of pajama sets designed to be worn in and outside of the bedroom, reflecting Laila’s effortless art of living and Marimekko’s joyful and optimistic lifestyle ethos.To celebrate the launch of the collection, Marimekko opens a playful pop-up at the iconic Le Bon Marché department store in Paris. The pop-up references the immersive bedroom experience that Gohar and Marimekko created for Milan Design Week featuring a grand-size bed made of 18 separate bed units. Coinciding with Paris Design Week, Marimekko brings the colorful pop-up to Le Bon Marché’s Rock’n’Drôle event on September 4th, offering Finnish licorice and a limited-edition tote bag to guests and customers.

The moment is here when we can finally say that Gwyneth Paltrow’s beloved Goop is arriving to Scandinavia, and picked their first retail stop, Stockholm.  Their new home will be located on Birger Jarlsgatan in Stockholm, the home of Youtime. A  220 square meter destination for beauty and well-being. With roots in Australia’s strong wellness culture and a careful selection of products, services and experiences. On September 12, 2025, the offering will be expanded with the Los Angeles-based lifestyle and wellness brand Goop, which was founded in 2008 by Gwyneth Paltrow. With a philosophy rooted in natural beauty, the brand has developed a wide range for skin, body and hair. Goop Beauty’s wide range of products will be available in its entirety, with the segments skin, body and hair. In addition, Youtime will also be the first and only beauty destination outside the US to offer Goop’s signature facial treatments. Starting in September, Youtime visitors can book all of Goop’s facials, all performed by Linda Kindberg, Youtime’s authorized skin therapist. Harriet Allure was created by Freddy and Alex, two friends from Ghana, West Africa, who shared a lifelong love for home. As they blend uniqueness with life, they create a beautiful design for your home. Life is a theme they make apparent in their company. “The candles represent the light amidst the darkness of life, the hope for a bright future, and the nostalgia of cherished people and special places”, an endearing quote from their webpage sums up their journey. The brand name “Harriet Allure” is inspired by motherhood. This takes the personal connection between the brand, owners, and customers. Harriet, after Alex’s mother, which brings significant meaning to him, and allure, a French word for beauty and attraction. Together, they resemble a sense of individuality, which is shown in every candle jar. Every scented layer is specially designed to evoke notes of affection and cherishable love.  A Note from the Campaign: The idea for this campaign was born from a desire to create a project that transcends boundaries within the creative industry, a space where diverse qualities and perspectives are given room to shine. The brand story of Harriet Allure and the background of art director Amen Zelleke aligned naturally, making this collaboration a personal reflection of our individual journeys, as well as those of a broader community navigating identity, belonging, and the blend of cultures. We envisioned a visual dialogue between African heritage and Scandinavian minimalism, expressed through thoughtful styling, makeup & hair, casting, set design, and post production. The result is a beautiful collaboration that bridges design, fashion, and art, a project that resonates deeply with us and one we hold close to heart.
