HUGO Introduces Next-Level Tailoring in Spring/Summer 2025 for a New Generation of Bold Style

HUGO Introduces Next-Level Tailoring in Spring/Summer 2025 for a New Generation of Bold Style text Katharina Baumgarten images courtesy of HUGO In its Spring/Summer 2025 global brand campaign, HUGO flips the script on tailoring. Photographed by Dan Jackson under the creative direction of Trey Laird and his agency, Team Laird, the focus is on flexible, infinitely adaptable suiting. This full-year campaign will unfold in two chapters: Chapter 1 this Spring/Summer, followed by Chapter 2 in Fall/Winter. In Chapter 1, HUGO captures a youthful maverick as he navigates a series of red rooms. The styling of his sharply cut suit evolves from classic and timeless, to offbeat and inspired, combined with a snug tank top, a chunky leather boot, a boldly printed short-sleeved shirt, and tailored shorts. His looks are inspired by the concept of The GO Suit: a new, very HUGO approach to building a go-to tailored wardrobe for every aesthetic and occasion. In womenswear, we meet a heroine in a sleek white three-piece suit in the red rooms. The camera zooms in on the details: a bold belt, a strappy heel, the cropped cut of a vest, highlighting the adaptability of HUGO’s tailoring for all genders, and celebrating the individuality of the person inside the suit: recharging the brand’s motto, “HUGO Your Way” as a true statement for self-expression. The “go your way” narrative of the campaign also underscores the brand’s commitment to a better fashion industry. Enter: HUGO FORWARD, a new platform showcasing HUGO’s innovative, technology-driven approach to design. HUGO FORWARD pieces will carve a path of transformational exploration, following the mantra, “You’ve got to keep moving to stay ahead of the game.” HUGO FORWARD’s first drop arrives this season: three tailored styles created with plant- based HeiQ AeoniQTM, a groundbreaking cellulose yarn made from wood pulp that rivals the performance properties of polyester. A modular constellation of menswear suit separates, including a single-breasted blazer, casual jacket, and trousers, all in timeless black, these HeiQ AeoniQTM and wool-blend pieces can be worn matched or clashed, smart or casual. Further cementing HUGO’s status as a tailoring pioneer, these are the first-ever suiting separates crafted with this fiber to go to market.

Hermès at La Pelota – A Poetic Vision of Home

Hermès at La Pelota – A Poetic Vision of Home text Zohra Vanlerberghe Hermès Illuminates Milan Design Week 2025 with a Poetic Exploration of Objects and Emotion. During Milan Design Week 2025, Hermès made a captivating return to La Pelota, unveiling a new scenography by Charlotte Macaux Perelman and Alexis Fabry, the artistic directors of Hermès Maison. Once again, the maison invited guests into a space where design transcends function and where objects become carriers of memory, feeling, and light. This year’s installation presents the new Collections for the Home in an ethereal setting: white, almost colorless boxes suspended in midair, casting bold, saturated hues onto the vast hall’s floor. These colorful reflections, intangible, fleeting, and deeply atmospheric that create a luminous aura that gives each object a near-emotional presence. In this dreamlike world, objects do not just exist, they appear, like echoes of imagined interiors and intimate moments. The scenography poses a subtle question: What objects do we choose to spotlight in our homes and why? Hermès encourages visitors to reconsider how we frame the items we live with, how design informs our personal narrative, and how the aura of an object can live on long after its first impression. Highlights from the new collection include: Mouth-blown glassware, like the striking Vase Doublé and Jug Doublé, crafted through multi-layered casing techniques. The Side Table Pivot, a playful yet precise design by Tomás Alonso, blending lacquered glass and Japanese cedar wood.

Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Flawless Foundation

Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Flawless Foundation text Elva Ahlbin In a market flooded with high-coverage base products promising to blur, smooth, and perfect, Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Flawless Foundation stands out—not just for what it does, but for how it feels on the skin. This foundation, known for its full coverage and natural-matte finish, is infused with skincare-forward ingredients like REPLEXIUM™ and AirCool™, aimed at reducing the appearance of wrinkles and refreshing the skin over time. It’s sweat-proof, humidity-proof, transfer-resistant—and, impressively, designed to last up to 16 hours. Available in 44 shades, the range is inclusive and accommodating to a wide array of undertones. But what really elevates this foundation for me, someone with combination skin and a critical eye for finish and wear, is how well it balances coverage and glow without tipping into extremes. At 45, I deal with a few patches of hyperpigmentation under my cheekbones, and my ideal foundation is one that evens out my skin tone while still letting the texture of my skin breathe through. I don’t want to look flat or overly radiant—I want to look fresh, like myself, just slightly more rested. My shade, Neutral 4, blends into my skin tone beautifully. The formula is highly concentrated, so I use just a small amount at a time and work it in with circular motions using a buffing brush. I focus on the areas that need more attention—around the nose, dark circles under the eyes, and my pigmentation spots. The product sets quickly, so working in small sections helps keep things seamless and under control. What impressed me most is the dimensional finish. Though the foundation is labeled as matte, it doesn’t flatten the face—instead, it has this subtle light-reflecting quality that gives the skin a lifted, alive look. I rarely feel the need to powder, except maybe a light touch on my forehead if it’s a long day. Most importantly, it doesn’t feel like I’m wearing a full face of makeup—it wears like a second skin. Airbrush Flawless is, without question, one of the best foundations I’ve tried in recent years. It gives me coverage, longevity, and control, without sacrificing the natural finish I always look for in a base. And in a beauty world that often forces a choice between glow and coverage, this one quietly does both.
