Hästens Opens a Sleep Spa at Nordiska Kompaniet Stockholm

The Swedish bedmaker, Hästens, has opened a new Sleep Spa at Nordiska Kompaniet in Stockholm, located on the department store’s third floor. Designed by the Hästens Design Lab, the gallery-style space is conceived as an immersive presentation of the brand’s handcrafted sleep systems, bringing together the materials, construction methods, and comfort options that have defined the family-owned company since 1852.

At the centre of the showroom is the Grand Vividus, Hästens’ most involved sleep instrument. Complementing it are Monogram bed linens and accessories created in collaboration with interior designer Ferris Rafauli, extending the design language of the bed into the surrounding textile story. The wider space also presents pieces from the Hästens Designer Collection, developed with Ilse Crawford, Lars Nilsson, and Bernadotte & Kylberg, collaborations that reflect the brand’s connections to architecture and contemporary interiors.

A dedicated pillow boutique is integrated within the showroom, presenting the brand’s down offering alongside the BEDDOC® Therapeutic Pillow, positioned as part of the sleep system rather than an accessory. Throughout the space, visitors can book personalised sleep consultations and bed testing sessions with trained sleep specialists, with orders placed and configured directly in-store.

The NK opening marks another point in Hästens’ presence across hospitality as well as retail. The brand currently supplies sleep experiences to Stallmästaregården in Stockholm, Corinthia London, and Maison Le Chevreuil in Burgundy.
