Balenciaga Hourglass Avenue Bag As Seen By Hart Lëshkina
Launching October 8th, 2026, a series of images and videos contextualize the Balenciaga Hourglass Avenue Bag: a dynamic reenvisioning of an iconic House silhouette, designed by Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli.
In photographs taken by the interdisciplinary artist duo Hart Lëshkina, and in videos made by featured creators, the Hourglass Avenue Bag’s distinctive tactility is emphasized with natural light, soft surfaces, and physical media, exemplifying the relatively analog. Among vintage instruments—plugged-in guitars, wired headphones, and stereos with rotary knobs and needle meters—the extra-supple, semi-glossy bag becomes another personal, touchable possession.
A youthful, multi-talented cast consists of Anna Van Patten, Blanca Soler, Ch’lita, Cala Moragas, Jasmine Yen, Maddi Waterhouse, Salem Mitchell, and Yang Chaoyue. Each act as both model and creator in the multi-platform series.Throughout intimate, interior settings, the bag’s defining curvilinear base hugs the back of an upholstered seat, an unmade bed, a pile of electric cords, a pedestal fan, a stack of magazines—taking the iconic Hourglass shape to a new Balenciaga. Its fresh aesthetic, fluidity, spontaneity, and versatility are made apparent, from its folding flap with hinged handle, splayed open to reveal a second, hidden handle, to
its sleek set of gold bar magnetic closures, engraved with the historic House address: Balenciaga 10 Avenue George V.
Models wear pieces from the Balenciaga Spring 27 Collection, including innovative TechWear items, archive-inspired gold jewelry, and elegantly arched Midnight City or Bloom pumps. Featured bags include the Hourglass Avenue Top Handle Extra-Small, Small, and Medium in black, carmin red, pink, raisin, or white shiny reworked box calf leather.
The Balenciaga Hourglass Avenue Bag is available in select Balenciaga stores worldwide and on balenciaga.com.
