For SS27, Mexican designer Steph Orozco presents REFUGIO in Stockholm for the first time, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s ongoing dialogue between Monterrey and Stockholm. Developed over the course of a year, the collection emerges from a practice of slowness, craftsmanship, and reflection, where garments are conceived as spaces of protection, transformation, and belonging.

Drawing from personal memory, ritual, and the symbolism of First Communion ceremonies, REFUGIO explores fashion as both shelter and revelation. Monumental silhouettes, lace details, metallic assemblages, and carefully constructed volumes create a wardrobe that moves between devotion and modernity. Signature remade pieces stand alongside one-of-a-kind garments, all crafted through a visible, artisanal single-needle process.

The presentation unfolds as a contemplative ceremony, inspired by the quiet rhythm of nuns moving through a cloister. Complemented by Sunny Phombangyoun’s symbolic beauty direction and footwear by Calou Clogs, REFUGIO invites the audience into a space of introspection, where clothing becomes a refuge for becoming.
