KAWS Adds His Own Style to Absolut Vodka’s New Artist Edition

KAWS is set to bring his unique take on the popular spirit to a whole new audience with this latest addition to the Artist Edition series.

The artist’s instantly recognizable “XX” and “CHUM” motifs are featured on this new apothecary-shaped bottle, which also incorporates imagery from a custom painting created exclusively for Absolut Vodka.

KAWS, a Brooklyn-based artist who goes by Brian Donnelly, has long been fascinated with breaking down the barriers between high art and popular culture. From his early days as a graffiti artist in New Jersey, spray-painting his cartoon-like characters on abandoned trains and billboards, KAWS has always found innovative ways to engage the public with his work. Now, he is looking forward to seeing his designs come to life in an entirely new medium.

“I want to show art in unexpected places and I hope my bottles will find their way into bars and imbibing events around the world,” said KAWS.

Absolut Vodka’s Artist Edition series is yet another milestone in the company’s enduring legacy of collaborating with visionary artists. With more than 550 artists and 850 pieces created since the 1980s, including icons like Andy Warhol, the brand has always been at the forefront of experimental expression.

The 40 percent proof vodka in a limited numbered edition will be available in selected markets in more than 30 countries, including the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, Mexico, and many more, starting October 1, 2026. In the meantime, you can view availability and rates in your region on the Absolut’s website.
