French sneaker brand VEJA is set to release its latest unisex model, PANENKA, on March 6. Paneka is a tribute to the timeless style of classic football. The shoe is named after Antonín Panenka, the Czechoslovak footballer famous for his legendary chipped penalty in the 1976 European Championship final, where Czechoslovakia defeated West Germany. His daring technique became known as the “Panenka penalty”, symbolizing confidence and boldness—qualities VEJA aims to capture with this new sneaker.
The VEJA Panenka blends retro football aesthetics with modern design, featuring graphic stitching, vintage-inspired patchwork details, and a color palette reminiscent of 1970s football jerseys. Designed for comfort, the shoe includes a padded sole and extra cushioning in key areas.
The sneaker will be available in three colorways: Black White, White Pierre Pekin Bark, and White Calcaire.
