A Taste of Tore Wretman
This October, Teatergrillen celebrates its legendary founder Tore Wretman with Wretmandagarna, welcoming Skåne based chef Daniel Müllern to the kitchen from 22 to 24 October. Müllern, the chef and owner of Ystad restaurant Tumült, has a personal connection to Wretman’s culinary legacy. As a young chef in the 1990s, he worked at two of Wretman’s former restaurants, Stallmästaregården and Operakällaren. Today, his cooking is defined by seasonality, exceptional produce and a generous sense of personality.
“I felt an enormous sense of pride when I was asked to create the menu at Teatergrillen during Wretmandagarna. It feels as though a circle has been completed,” says Müllern.
His autumn menu moves between refined classics and playful combinations, with dishes including lobster tacos, poached oyster with red curry, Kalix vendace roe, autumn truffle, Eggs Royale with scallop and caviar, grilled turbot with lobster and truffle, and Skåne lamb with caramelised Jerusalem artichoke. The experience begins in the bar with a drink and Tumült snacks before continuing into Teatergrillen’s dining room, where the menu is paired with an extensive wine selection. Wretmandagarna will be served for dinner on 22 and 23 October and as a Saturday lunch on 24 October. Reservations are recommended.
