LJUS – A Union of Design, Craft and Rituals,Brought to You by Byredo x Iittala

The most enduring collaborations begin with a shared point of view. For Iittala and Byredo, that common ground is rooted in an appreciation of design that transcends basic function – creating objects that are inspired by our everyday rituals, through considered beauty, purposeful form, and exceptional craftsmanship.

First announced earlier this year, this collection, LJUS, explores the relationship between light and scent through the lens of distinct Nordic craftsmanship. Drawing on Iittala’sheritage in glassmaking and Byredo’s expertise in sensory design, the collection offers a new way of experiencing everyday rituals through the considered interplay of form, light and fragrance, shaped through and animated by flame.

As the colder months draw in, the launch arrives at a moment when our homes and daily rituals naturally shift with the season. Inspired by the changing qualities of Nordic light, this partnership explores the quiet dialogue between fire and ice, permanence and ephemerality, inviting moments of warmth, reflection and pause.
