For Summer 2026, Michael Kors invites artist Christina Zimpel to bring her vibrant visual language to a limited edition capsule that celebrates the carefree elegance of the French Riviera. Long admired by Michael Kors for her expressive illustrations, the Australian artist has created two exclusive artworks inspired by Saint Tropez. One captures a sun drenched beach scene in luminous shades of blue and yellow, while the other reimagines the town’s iconic bell tower through a bold palette of forest green, hot pink, orange and white. Together, the prints evoke the warmth, colour and effortless glamour of a Mediterranean summer. The capsule translates Zimpel’s artwork across a selection of lightweight cotton shirt dresses, coordinated shirt and shorts sets, flowing sarongs and an assortment of accessories including canvas totes, bucket hats and small leather goods. Designed with travel and warm weather dressing in mind, each piece balances relaxed sophistication with an unmistakably artistic spirit.
“When I first came across Christina’s work years ago, I was drawn to the optimism and the joy in what she did,” says Michael Kors. “I also love that her work has such a strong sense of place. It instantly transports you. This summer felt like the right time for a wardrobe filled with that sunny, uplifting aesthetic.”
For Zimpel, the collaboration was an opportunity to translate the feeling of an idyllic summer evening into wearable form. “For this project I tried to conjure up the pleasure of sitting at the perfect vantage spot on a perfect evening and feeling the joy that brings,” she says. Rooted in colour, craftsmanship and a shared appreciation for escapism, the Michael Kors x Christina Zimpel capsule offers a fresh interpretation of resort dressing through the meeting of fashion and art.
