A Theatre of Holiday Dressing

A Theatre of Holiday Dressing

There is always a certain theatre to holiday dinners, the polite choreography, the fragile truce between relatives, the slow build toward inevitable, joyful chaos. Lili Curia leans into that drama with a festive campaign that feels both familiar and deliciously exaggerated, like watching your own holiday table through a dream lens.

Photographed in London by Benedict Brink, and paired with a film in three acts by Joni Lettmann, the story begins quietly. The table is set, the scene immaculate, each detail trembling with anticipation. And then, just as every holiday dinner eventually does, the moment breaks open. The main character steps into the spotlight, and the performance begins.

She enters in the Ida Boot, all black leather and Victorian attitude, a silhouette sharp enough to command an entire room. The collection continues the house’s love for statement footwear: the new Jacqueline Boot, with its corset inspired lacing, its double bow detail, and its curved stiletto heel, along with the Jules Ankle Boot in deep red leather, a perfect seasonal crescendo.

For those who prefer their drama in softer steps, the Isolde Ballet Sneaker and the Ginger Mary Jane return in a limited jacquard woven with roses and thorns, a quiet nod to the beauty and bite of celebrations. Each pair arrives with a small gift, a rose pochette crafted from nappa leather and leftover jacquard, a keepsake for the season.

Lili Curia’s festive collection feels like stepping into the best part of the holidays, the unapologetic glamour, the heightened emotions, the sense that anything can happen once the candles are lit. It is a reminder that the everyday can be extraordinary if you only dare to play along.
