Designer Oscar Magnuson Creates Gift for Swedish Stem Cell Donor Registry Designer Oscar Magnuson has partnered with Tobiasregistret, Sweden’s national stem cell donor registry, to honor stem cell donors with a unique gift: a brass candleholder named Ankh. This design holds deep personal significance for Magnuson, whose mother, Princess Christina Mrs. Magnuson, underwent a life-saving stem cell transplant in 2017 as part of her cancer treatment. “My mother is alive today thanks to an anonymous donor who selflessly gave both time and healthy stem cells,” Magnuson shared. Known for his eyewear brand, Oscar Magnuson, he sees the Ankh candleholder as a way to give back to donors whose contributions are critical in life-and-death situations. The Tobias Registry has connected thousands of donors with critically ill patients since 1992, with over 250,000 registered donors to date.
