Between Forms: Baum und Pferdgarten Softens the Rules of Tailoring

For Pre-Spring 2027, Baum und Pferdgarten explores the subtle interplay between strength and intimacy. Titled Between Forms, the collection by creative directors Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehave revisits uniform inspired dressing through a balance of precision and ease, where traditional codes are gently challenged and structured silhouettes take on a softer expression.

Tailoring remains central, though with a more relaxed sensibility. Fitted pieces meet looser shapes, while the interplay of contrasting proportions creates a wardrobe that moves effortlessly between structure and fluidity. Lightweight fabrics, delicate transparency, lace details and fine knits introduce a sense of intimacy, balanced by suiting materials, classic denim and corduroy. Designed to be layered and worn together, the pieces move naturally between day and evening, where tailored separates meet lingerie inspired details and flowing dresses bring a subtle sense of drama. The colour palette is grounded in black and white, with classic checks adding definition and delicate floral prints softening the overall expression. Earthy tones bring warmth and depth, while touches of purple and yellow introduce a more playful energy. Between Forms ultimately presents a nuanced approach to dressing, where sophistication meets informality and strength is expressed as much through softness as through structure.
