Restaurant Liebling expands with new bar and private dining room
Restaurant Liebling is entering a new chapter this autumn with the opening of two new spaces at its Stockholm bistro: Liebling Bar and a bookable private dining room in the basement.
“Finally, more Liebling for the people,” says Andreas Bergman of 20-Gruppen. “We’re incredibly excited to welcome even more hungry and thirsty guests every day of the week. Our new basement dining room allows us to host larger groups, while Liebling Bar features several German beer taps alongside an exciting selection of Central European wines.”
The new basement dining room extends the existing restaurant and seats up to 50 guests in intimate booths designed for groups of six to twelve. Guests can enjoy Liebling’s full menu, including schnitzel, German sausages and traditional accompaniments, while the space is also available for private events and exclusive hire.
Next door, Liebling Bar offers a dedicated drinks-led experience with seven German beers on tap, including Paulaner, Bitburger, Stiegl, Weihenstephaner and Hofbräu. The drinks menu is complemented by a broad selection of German wines, with varieties such as Riesling and Spätburgunder, alongside a concise food menu featuring pretzels, German beer sausage and a schnitzel burger.
The new spaces open in early September, just ahead of Liebling’s annual Oktoberfest, which runs from 14 September to 11 October. During the festival, the restaurant will serve a special Oktoberfest menu of sausages, schnitzel and roast chicken, paired with traditional German beer served in large steins.
Liebling is open seven days a week, with Friday lunch service and weekend opening from lunchtime.
