Byredo Extends Its offering With a Car Diffuser
This summer, BYREDO introduces a new product in their offering – the Car Diffuser, bringing aromas from the Home collection into the car environment. Crafted from black, cream, or brown leather, with replaceable fragrance refills, it easily clips onto the vehicle’s air vent and spreads fragrance via a cold diffusion system that activates with airflow.
The Car Diffuser is available in three iconic scents: Bibliothèque, Summer Rain and Coin Laundry. After being opened, each refill can last for as long as three months and can be replaced whenever necessary.
SUMMER RAIN: Experience a refreshing summer downpour with notes of basil and spearmint leading the way, complemented by green fig and ginger, and grounded by sandalwood and tonka as the rain fades.
BIBLIOTHÈQUE: Escape into the velvety essence of paper, marked by notes of plum and cinnamon, with a heart of leather accord and violet, finished with birch woods, patchouli, and vanilla for comfort.
COIN LAUNDRY: Relive a Sunday at the laundromat with crisp scents of aldehyde, pink pepper, and white rose, layered over a heart of neroli and peony, resting on blonde woods, musks, and sandalwood.
The launch campaign of the Car Diffuser was photographed and directed by Jim Mangan, and it is inspired by his long-standing interest in the landscapes and communities of the American West. Mangan takes an ecological and sociological approach to explore how people interact with place over time. His work combines documentary detail with cinematic atmosphere, depicting desert landscapes, motion studies, and portraits of historically shaped communities. In the campaign, the Car Diffuser becomes integral to the journey, using heat, dust, resin, and distance to create images that explore movement and scent.
