Born and raised in northern Sweden, by an artist who was also a single mother, Bergstrand was eventually led into the arts.  Growing up shooting a lot of films sets and inspired by photographers such as Guy Bourdin, Erwin Blumenfeld, Jurgen Teller and Richard Avedon, set the tone for his work today.  Bergstrand is currently based in Paris, France, a town that is a big source of inspiration for him.
