For International Women’s Day 2025, & Other Stories is collaborating with London-based artist Karimah to create a wearable artwork that celebrates resilience, creativity, and the strength of women. The collaboration is based on the question: “What does International Women’s Day mean to you?” In response, Karimah created the piece Let Love Be Your Legacy—a reflection of her multicultural heritage and themes such as strength, vulnerability, and sisterhood. The artwork has now been transformed into an expressive scarf made of organic silk.

& Other Stories has a long-term partnership with UN Women Sweden, and the full proceeds from the scarf’s sales will be donated to UN Women’s Second Chance Education Programme in India. This initiative provides women affected by poverty, crises, or harmful social norms with a new opportunity through education and vocational training. The collaboration is part of & Other Stories’ commitment to empowering women and promoting global gender equality.

International Women’s Day is an opportunity to amplify voices and drive change,” says Cecilia McNeil, Head of Sustainability at & Other Stories. “Karimah’s work reflects these values, and this collaboration contributes to UN Women’s long-term initiatives to empower women through education.”

The limited-edition Karimah & Other Stories collection will launch globally on March 4, 2025, and will be available on stories.com and in all & Other Stories stores.
