Zalando Launches Exclusive 'GANT Remake' Capsule Collection in Collaboration with Highsnobiety Founder David Fischer

Zalando, the premier e-commerce destination for fashion and lifestyle, has proudly introduced the 'GANT Remake' capsule collection. This exclusive collaboration brings together the renowned American sportswear brand GANT and David Fischer, the founder of Highsnobiety. Under the creative direction of Christopher Bastin, the collection draws inspiration from GANT's extensive archive housed in its Stockholm headquarters, reinterpreting iconic products and American sportswear staples such as varsity jackets, rugger shirts, and Oxford Button-Down shirts.

Crafted in Sweden, the limited collection comprises eight meticulously designed pieces that pay homage to the silhouettes of the 1980s and 1990s. Central to the collection are two distinct interpretations of the varsity jacket, each embodying a blend of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary flair. One rendition features an Italian wool blend body with sleeves crafted from luxurious calf leather, while the other showcases a modern twist with a blend of cotton and recycled polyester. Complementing these jackets is a windcheater crafted in technical gabardine, elevated by a collar fashioned from soft calf suede. Additionally, the collection includes two rugger shirts adorned with bold bar stripe designs and three reimagined GANT classics, including the iconic Oxford shirt.

The 'Remake' collection reflects the evolution of streetwear, seamlessly integrating collegiate tailoring into its aesthetic. We aim to reimagine classic GANT garments with a modern twist, incorporating urban style, functionality, and sustainability.”
