A Winter Escape into Chanel’s Holiday 2026 Collection
For Holiday 2026, Chanel takes its cues from a day in the mountains, tracing the passage from snow at sunrise to the warmth of an evening indoors.
Winter light has a particular way of changing how we see colour. Against snow, even the palest shade becomes distinct; indoors, beside a fire, pinks soften and gold takes on a warmer cast. These shifts set the mood for Chanel’s Holiday 2026 makeup collection.
Developed by the Chanel Makeup Creation Studio, the collection begins with the white of an untouched slope at dawn, moves through the golden light of late afternoon and settles into woody tones and muted pinks after dark. There is a practical sensibility to the mountain setting, too: makeup worn between cold air and warm rooms, with a few touch-ups before dinner.
Pearlescent and satin finishes catch the light, giving the complexion a natural luminosity. Warm shades bring definition to the eyes, while intensely glossy lips provide the look’s most assertive element. The effect feels dressed for the evening while retaining the freshness of the day.
It is easy to picture the preparations: a few essentials spread across a dressing table, a little colour reapplied to the lips and a final spritz of fragrance before heading downstairs to join friends.
And what is après-ski without a little dressing up? Leave your fur coat upstairs and put on a fresh coat of Rouge Coco Hydra Gloss. That’s mountain chic!
