In a bold move towards sustainable consumption, Swedish company Videung has introduced Circular Sleep, a bed designed to adapt to both the human body and the planet’s resources. With an innovative modular system and a circular commitment, Videung is revolutionising the way we rest, one bed at a time, with its sights set on Europe.
Traditional beds often end up in landfills due to their non-recyclable design. Videung challenges this with a bed that’s 94% recyclable, aspiring to achieve 100% recyclability. Its modular system, with parts lasting 10 to 20 years, ensures easy replacement and recycling.
Videung beds are made from natural and recycled materials. The core of the mattress is made from natural latex, which perfectly conforms to one’s body and sleeping position. The company also uses Tencel™ Lyocell, an eco-friendly textile fibre, known for its durability, softness, and breathable properties. The beds are crafted using dovetail jointing, a durable woodworking technique, and materials sourced from Northern Sweden and Europe. Since the assembly takes place in the customer’s home, it truly is a local production.
Founded in Skellefteå, Sweden, Videung aims to transform the global bed industry. The trio of Patrik Sandhu Wilén, Ida Malmborg, and Anders Nord is now taking Videung into Europe with a well-founded mission to provide a genuine circular solution for the best sleep with a clear conscience.
