This holiday season Svenskt Tenn takes inspiration from fairy tales, chsitmas sweets and childhood memories. Swedish illustrator Maja Sten returns as a designer for the brand, having created a series of christmas decorations and textiles for the holiday 2023 collection. 

The christmas tree baubles “Goda Ting” are hand-painted and inspired by traditional christmas treats and the pattern is inspired by the royal icing on gingerbread cookes and houses. The collection also feature a new textile pattern “Fålar Fem” that can be found on tablecloth and napkin. The collection also features a new tree topper, a brass bird inspired by swedish folk art. 

- Christmas as a word has taken on new meanings for me as I've gotten older. As a child, the word was filled with anticipation. As an adult, I especially appreciate the time off and the scents. I've always been fascinated by Christmas decorations though, especially ornaments for the tree. I vividly remember the smell of the box with Christmas decorations that we would bring down from the attic on the day before Christmas. Perhaps it's the feeling of unveiling that treasure chest that I've tried to recreate with this year's collection for Svenskt Tenn, says Maja Sten.

 Holiday Joys' is Svenskt Tenn's final collection of the year, and the last one to launch before Svenskt Tenn's centenary celebrations will start in January 2024.
