Tomorrow is press day. These two items are some of my favorite pieces from the SS13 collections, of course tomorrow we’ll be browsing the AW13 collections. The jacket is by Josefin Strid and the shorts are by BACK.
I’ll be hanging at the showrooms with Canadian and American fellas Meghan and Aimee ;)

Just came back from another day filled with handsome people and beautiful clothes.
I had the chance to look at the ss13 collection by BACK, which were filled with silver, metallics and glitter, the entire collection is very dark for ss though, which I thinks is brilliant. I got to try the cap from Tiger that I wrote about during last fashion week and I found the perfect sunnies. I liked the sun glasses by YSL. I would very much like to own them.
I saw (and met the founders of) the new Swedish-Argentinian shoe brand, Reschia, which is making very likeable(!) shoes, can’t get enough of platforms. Oh, and we found this amazing editorial designer called Minna Palmqvist, her collection was originally inspired by fat cells.. creative, cool and strange. I would love to work with her in the future.

A little bit more from Ann-Sofie Back. This is from her brand Back. What I like most about this collection is probably the mix of fabrics, the combination of a simple cotton shirt and a lace top or skirt is amazing. And I do of course love the styling with socks in sandal shoes :) Oh, almost forgot, I love the bags, would love to own one.
From the press release Autumn / Winter 2012 :
The varying garments are cropped on different lengths, creating a cut up, collage-like silhouette. Some garments are faux-cropped with heavy, horizontal zips, splitting them in two with the underlying garment showing through. This is a true BACK classic first shown in 2002. Men’s shirts and t-shirts are cropped with boning details.
Awkward length pinafore trench-skirts, shirt-skirts, nightgowns and leather trousers are cut high in the waist with clear straps to give an impression of a very high waist, combined with off the shoulder tanks and baseball t-shirts in mesh.
A heavy, cable knit program with zip detailing and fringes in the softest bunny hair mixed with a lace skirt on top of turquoise knitted fishnet leggings, finished off with a cropped biker jacket.
Fabrics and styles have a hint of sport with inspiration from trench coats, bombers, baseball t-shirts as well as windbreaker fabrics, clear straps and mesh linings. Colours are sea foam, turquoise, sand, optic white, burgundy and stark black.
